Michael Saylor, executive chairman and co-founder of MicroStrategy, is arguably one of the most vocal Bitcoin maximalists in the industry. Not only is he and his company heavily invested in the asset, but he also spends a significant amount of time convincing others about the many benefits of the world’s leading cryptocurrency. Saylor discusses these characteristics in a recent interview, as well as how Bitcoin compares to other assets such as gold, real estate, and various fee-at currencies.

According to the former MicroStrategy CEO, Bitcoin is on track to replace gold, which would cause prices to skyrocket to around $500,000 per coin. However, Bitcoin is far more than just digital gold. It is a digital asset that has been carefully designed to replace and outperform other forms of assets and wealth storage.

Saylor argues that the end result of all of this is that Bitcoin will become a multitrillion-dollar asset class that will provide investors with limitless opportunities in 2023 and beyond.
